The identity, location and physical safety of Vigías constitute information protected with absolute character. Article V of the Constitution fixes this protection as a hard limit against any product, governance or operational decision.
What the platform does not do
In accordance with Article V, Alerta explicitly forgoes the following practices, even when they offer product advantages:
- Publication of precise geolocation associable with an identifiable Vigía.
- Public attribution of sensitive observations to identified Vigías without their express consent.
- Sharing Vigía metadata with third parties, including corporate partners, government agencies or media organizations.
- Allowing reverse search by geolocation on public surfaces.
Response protocol
The platform maintains an active response protocol for situations in which a Vigía has been exposed. The essential components of the protocol are the following:
- Immediate triage within a maximum of two business hours from the report (by the Vigía, by Agent 05 or by a third party).
- Legal assistance through agreements with specialized legal counsel.
- Immediate withdrawal of compromising content, without requiring prior approval.
- Accompaniment for the time the situation requires.
The role of Agent 05
Agent 05 of Saphi Intelligence operates as an automatic filter for civic safety. It detects observations whose publication could compromise the Vigía who documented them and derives them to private moderation before any public publication. Its operation is audited by the editorial team and by Agent 12.
